Hedges respond best when they are trimmed regularity.

If they are left too long between cuts, growth gets heavier, shape becomes harder to hold, and the finish is never quite as sharp. When they are maintained properly, they stay denser, neater, and easier to manage.

At Leafline we offer precise trimming, shaping, and pruning for all types of hedges, keeping them tidy, healthy, and beautifully structured. Perfect for residential and commercial properties alike.

Hedge Trimming & Structural Pruning

For trees and hedges that need to look sharp — and stay that way

We trim boundary hedges, feature hedges, screening hedges, and garden hedges with a focus on clean form and long-term appearance.

This can be booked as a one-off service, but for the best finish over time, hedge trimming can also be incorporated into our ongoing care visits.

What’s included

  • Trimming for clean lines and consistent shape

  • Managing height and outward growth

  • Selective structural pruning where needed

  • Species-aware trimming to support healthy regrowth

  • Full clean-up and removal of trimmings

The aim is not just to make the hedge smaller. It is to leave it looking straight and balanced, with uniform growth.

Trimmed with plant response in mind

Different hedge species respond very differently to trimming.

Some can tollerate infrequent, hard cuts, while others need a more careful approach to avoid thinning, stress, or patchy regrowth.

Luca’s arboricultural background means the trimming method is matched to the plant, the season, and the result you are trying to hold over time.

Best results come from increased frequency

For a truely imanculate hedge it needs to be trimmed often

Simply put, the more often you trim the better the finish.

This is where Leafline really shines. Because we are a full service garden maintence company we can often incorporate the trimming of hedges, trees and bushes into our Ongoing Care plans. This makes much tighter trimming intervals feasible from both an economic and practical perspective.
